There are certain places in Nairobi we go back to over and over and this is one of them. It’s very hard to get over the majesty of these beautiful creatures and to get to interact with them closely? Mind blowing for kids and adults alike.

THINGS TO NOTE
– Food available? Yes. There’s a snack shop. Haven’t tried their food though
– You can get souvenirs
– Wheel chair and stroller accessible
– Mornings are less crowded
– Keep a safe distance as some giraffes are liable to head-butt (trust me 🥲)
This time we visited after they’d just refurbished it and it is fantastic! I do miss the giant giraffe puzzle they had that I’d put together with Adam but the new space is greener, more organised so less crowded when feeding the giraffes, accessible and stroller friendly so I’d say it’s a very small price to pay.
⚠️ CAUTION
Y’all we got headhunted by Ms Daisy who I later found out is generally not a fan of kids. After sharing on my stories a few people gave their own stories of surviving her head-butts so I’d say, keep a safe distance. Kids were all okay though and after a little cry from the scare were right back to enjoying the day. You know mama had those kung fu matrix moves on lock so the head-butt never had contact with the kids. We chose to gracefully tumble to the floor. 🤣
